Sylvia Lim is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA) and a fee-only Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with over 20 years of public practice experience. Her practice provides clients with sound financial, tax and business advice.
She is the published author of the Personal Budgeting Kit and Finances After 55. Both are resourceful, self-help books containing advice, information and all the tools you’ll need to map out a successful financial future.
Sylvia regularly holds popular workshops for the business community, with emphasis on business tax planning and budgeting.
As part of her commitment to give back to her community, Sylvia has been very active with Toastmasters International (TM). A past area governor and club president, she was involved in providing leadership and educational support to her district members. A seasoned speaker, she has achieved the Advanced Communicator-Gold designation and is currently working towards her Distinguished Toastmaster, the ultimate TM achievement.
Other past and present volunteer credits include serving as treasurer for the Canadian Women Voters Congress and Big Sisters of BCLM, volunteer presenter with Junior Achievement, newsletter editor for the Institute of Internal Auditors-Vancouver Chapter, committee member of the CGA-BC Association and West Coast Enterprise Centre.
